A dense and delicious blend of Cabernet Franc and Cot grown on clay/limestone with flint soils next door to the Clos Roche Blanche, showing the ripeness and depth of this very good vintage for Loire reds. The wine shows ripe blackberry aromas, deep yet fresh with floral and herbal hints, cocoa and spice. The palate is dense with blackberry and black raspberry fruit, with firm acidity, earth and mineral notes in the long finish. Reminiscent of the CRB "Pif," serve a bit cool with grilled meats and full-flavored cheeses, enjoy over the next 3 to 5 years.
