Julien Albertus of Domaine Kumpf & Meyer works 40 acres of biodynamic vines in Rosheim, located in the northern reaches of Alsace (northeastern France).

Hand-harvested from 40 year-old vines grown in clay and limestone soils. The grapes macerate over the course of 15 days and are destemmed. Resting happens in a mix of old barrels and demi-muids. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2.

Light to medium bodied with raspberry and cherry fruit, forest floor and subtle hints of pepper and smoke.
