Jo Landron 'Atmospheres Methode Traditionnelle Extra Brut' NV Loire Valley, France
Style 😋: Medium bodied and crisp with refreshing tiny bubbles. A perfect balance of fruit and toast - white peaches, lemon zest and biscuits.
Producer: Jo Landron
Grape 🍇: Folle Blanche, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
Place 🌎: Loire Valley, France
Story 📖: Jo joined his father’s domaine in the 1970s and over time, he became passionate about improving the quality and reputation of Muscadet wines, which were often seen as simple and inexpensive. Jo’s dedication to quality and sustainability has helped to elevate the status of not only Muscadet wines but the Loire Valley in general.
One of his most celebrated wines is “Atmosphères,” a Champagne style sparkling wine that highlights his innovative approach. Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, with fermentation relying on natural yeasts to preserve the wine’s freshness and complexity. Aged for 24 months on the lees, it develops fine bubbles and a balance of crisp fruit, minerality, and light toastiness.
Pairing 🍽: Kunkik triple crème cheese from Nettle Meadow
