Domaine de la Cras Coteaux de Dijon Bourgogne Rouge 2023 Burgundy, France

Domaine de la Cras Coteaux de Dijon Bourgogne Rouge 2023 Burgundy, France

Style 😋: Elegant and lifted. Juicy red berries, wild herbs, and earthy minerality with fine-grained tannins and a long, delicate finish.

Producer: Domaine de la Cras (Marc Soyard)

Grape 🍇: Pinot Noir

Place 🌎: Coteaux de Dijon, Burgundy, France

Story 📖: Domaine de la Cras is unlike any other estate in Burgundy. Owned by the city of Dijon, the domaine was established as a way to preserve viticultural heritage and showcase responsible farming. In 2013, after an extensive selection process, Marc Soyard—a talented young winemaker with experience at Domaine Bizot—was chosen to farm the land and craft the wines.

Working biodynamically, he has elevated this unique terroir into one of Burgundy’s most exciting emerging sites. This 2023 Bourgogne Rouge comes from organically farmed vines in the limestone-rich hills just outside Dijon. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral oak, it delivers pure, expressive Pinot Noir with remarkable depth and finesse. With limited production and growing demand, this is a true insider’s wine—an opportunity to taste Burgundy’s future while honoring its past.

Pairing 🍽: Duck confit.
