Regular price $20.97
Grape πŸ‡: Negroamaro from seventy five year old organically farmed vines on clay soils
Style πŸ˜‹: Medium bodied with soft rustic tannins and a dark savory personality. Plum and macerated cherry with hints of tomato leaf, earthy cocoa and a little balsamic.
Details πŸ“Œ: Fermented and aged entirely in large concrete tanks and underground concrete vats. No sulfur is added at any point and the wine is bottled to order. The farming is organic with an emphasis on restraint and minimal soil disturbance. The wine is unfined and unfiltered which preserves its depth and honest farmhouse charm.
Story πŸ“–: The Del Prete family has been farming vineyards in southern Puglia for generations but it was Natalino who devoted himself entirely to viticulture. Working with ten hectares of deeply rooted indigenous varieties he has always favored a humble chemical free approach. He has been organic since 1994 long before it was fashionable and relies on minimal plowing no irrigation and old fashioned hard work to keep the vines healthy.
