Regular price $25.97
Grape 🍇: Ruché
Style 😋: Medium bodied, zippy acidity, soft tannins. Explosive aromatics of rose petals, purple flowers, and plums. Fruit and spice, juicy finish.
Details 📌: Sourced from estate parcels and select growers on the steep hills of Scurzolengo in Asti. The grapes are destemmed and undergo a long, spontaneous fermentation and maceration of up to two months in vat. The wine ages for one year in a mix of cement, fiberglass, and steel tank before bottling without filtration and with zero added sulfur.
Story 📖: Cascina Tavijn is the dynamic project of Nadia Verrua, who has brought a new voice to the forgotten Asti province of Piedmont. Working with organic practices and eschewing official DOC/G designations for creative freedom, she focuses on native varieties like Ruché, Grignolino, and Barbera. Her wines, named for family members and featuring playful labels, are known for their pure, expressive character and minimal intervention ethos.
