Los Bermejos 'Malvasia Volcanica Seco' 2024 Canary Islands, Spain

Regular price $26.97
Grape: Malvasía Volcánica
Style: Crisp, refreshing, and mineral driven. Lime, pear and white flowers, smoke and wild fennel.
Details: Grown in Lanzarote’s lunar landscape, each vine planted in a hoyo (a hand dug pit in volcanic ash, ringed by stone walls to shield from winds). Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel.
Story: Lanzarote is one of the most extreme winegrowing environments on earth. Each vine must be dug down to the fertile soil beneath meters of lava and ash. Yields are painfully low, but the resulting fruit is concentrated and electric. Ignacio Valdera founded Los Bermejos with a mission to capture this identity. Farming is done by hand, as no machines can work the terrain.
