Style 😋: Light to medium bodied with bright, clean acidity. Salinity, citrus, lemon balm, almond skin, chamomile, and wet stone. Textural and aromatic.
Story 📖: Vino di Anna is the brainchild of Anna Martens and Eric Narioo, pioneers of natural winemaking on Mt. Etna. After launching their first vintage in 2008, they were among the early wave of vignerons to take the volcano seriously as a terroir of global importance. From their home and cellar in Contrada Crasà, Anna and Eric now steward eight hectares of organically farmed vines with a deep respect for Etna’s ancient traditions and wild character.
‘Palmento Bianco’ is their ode to Sicily’s native white varieties. Each component is vinified separately using indigenous yeasts, with a mix of skin contact, chestnut cask aging, and stainless steel fermentation. The final blend is textured yet lifted, floral and salty, naturally settled on lees and bottled without fining or filtration. It’s a stunning white that captures both the diversity of Sicily and the soulful precision that defines Vino di Anna.
Pairing 🍽: Swordfish crudo, fennel salad, fried zucchini blossoms, or a warm breeze off the coast
