La Casa Vieja Palomio 2024 Guadalupe, Mexico

Regular price $29.97 Sale price$35.00
Grape 🍇: Palomino
Style 😋: Medium bodied orange wine with a little structure and grip. Nutty and slightly oxidative in tone with dried herbs. Notes of almond skin, chamomile, lemon, and sea spray.
Details 📌: Palomino from very old ungrafted vines in the Guadalupe Valley. Dry farmed organically and well adapted to the arid climate, resulting in naturally low yields. Fermented in neutral vessels and concrete with two weeks of skin contact. The wine rests in the same vessels and is bottled without fining, filtering, or any addition of sulfur.
Story 📖: Humberto Toscano was born and raised in San Antonio de las Miñas on an adobe ranch that dates back to the 1800s. After spending time in the United States, he returned home seeking a slower, more grounded life connected to the land where his family’s vines had quietly survived for generations. The estate’s three hectares of vines have never seen chemicals, and many are believed to be over 120 years old, planted on their own roots long before modern viticulture arrived in the region.
