📖 Story: Stolpman Vineyards was founded in 1988 by Tom and Marilyn Stolpman after a dream of finding limestone rich soils near the Pacific coast. From the start, they focused on Syrah and Rhône varietals, pioneering Ballard Canyon’s reputation for distinctive, world class wines.
The 'La Cuadrilla' project began as a small initiative to give Ruben “the Grape Whisperer” Solorzano and his vineyard team their own block of vines to farm and profit from. Over time, it has grown into a full 10% of Stolpman’s total production, with proceeds directly benefiting the year round crew and their families. La Cuadrilla is a community project that represents Stolpman’s philosophy of stewardship, sustainability, and people first winemaking.
