Swick Wines 'Chillable Red' 2022 Oregon

Regular price $25.95

Style 😋: A light, chillable red that packs real depth. Think tart cherry and cranberry layered with blood orange zest, wild herbs, and a whisper of earth and spice. Juicy and fresh, yet surprisingly structured — this is glou-glou with a backbone.

Producer: Joe Swick

Grape 🍇: 34% Pinot Noir, 33% Pinot Gris, 33% Grenache Noir

Place 🌎: Chehalem Mountains & Yakima Valley, Oregon

Story 📖: Joe Swick is a leading voice in the Pacific Northwest’s natural wine scene. Based in Oregon, he sources organically farmed grapes across the region and vinifies with minimal intervention — native yeasts, no fining or filtration, and little to no sulfur. His wines are raw, expressive, and always pushing the idea of what’s possible in American wine.

For the 2023 ‘Chillable Red,’ Joe blended Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from Finnigan Hill Vineyard with Grenache Noir from Conley Vineyard. All grapes underwent two months of whole-cluster maceration, followed by 14 months of aging in neutral French oak. The result: a wine that’s both juicy and firm, with mushroomy depth from the Pinot, citrus lift from the Gris, and spice from the Grenache.

Pairing 🍽: Grilled lamb skewers with za’atar and yogurt
