Details 📌: Estate fruit from granitic soils in the Sousa subregion of Vinho Verde. Fermented and aged in stainless steel. First vintage vinified in their new winery, completed in 2021. No herbicides are used and irrigation is avoided unless absolutely necessary.

Story 📖: João and Leila Camizao returned to northern Portugal to reinvent what Vinho Verde could be. They took over João’s family vineyards, which were previously farmed for bulk wine, and set out to make still wines of tension, clarity, and place. With João’s background in engineering and Leila’s in hospitality, they’ve built Sem Igual into a quiet revolution in the region. The name means “without equal” and the wines live up to it: clean, focused, and unlike anything else coming out of Vinho Verde.
