Details πŸ“Œ: Hand harvested Friulano from steep hillsides of Savorgnano del Torre where ponca soil dominates and botrytis appears annually. Direct press with spontaneous fermentation in concrete. No malolactic conversion. Aged on fine lees for six to eight months and bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfur. Approximately 500 cases produced.
Story πŸ“–: Marco Sara farms 8 organic hectares in the village of Savorgnano del Torre, tucked into the coolest and wettest corner of Friuli. The area is defined by ponca soil, dramatic forests, and the Julian Alps. Older generations believed these slopes to be the greatest sites for white wine in the region, and Marco belongs fully to that lineage. His philosophy is clear. The grape is simply a carrier for the voice of vineyards. After twenty vintages he has become known for wines that speak of saltiness and structure rather than trend or technique.
