Grape: Mencía & Trousseau (drop of Palomino).

Style: Light bodied with smooth tannins. Tart cherry, cranberry, strawberry, a hint of herbs, white pepper. 

Details: Regeneratively farmed vines that Raj planted in 2007. Rare felsite and pink quartz soils close to the Pacific. Cofermented whole cluster for 14 days in neutral oak. Bottled by gravity. Unfined, unfiltered and made without SO2.

Story: After years as one of America’s most influential sommeliers and a partner in Domaine de la Côte, Sandhi and Evening Land, Phelan Farm is Raj Parr’s most personal project. Regenerative agriculture guides everything here, with the vineyard treated as an ecosystem rather than a crop. Misturado is Raj’s tribute to the field blends of Galicia and a love letter to Envínate, who provided the original Mencía cuttings.
