Story: Jean-Pierre Robinot is a legend of the French natural wine world. Before becoming a vigneron, he founded Le Rouge et le Blanc wine magazine and opened L’Ange Vin, one of Paris’ first natural wine bars. In the late 1990s he returned to the Loire Valley where he farms old Chenin and Pineau d’Aunis on limestone and clay soils. His wines, split between his own domaine Les Vignes de l’Ange Vin and his L’Opéra des Vins label, are beloved for their purity, patience, and energy.
