Natural Champagne from Emmanuel Lassaigne who took over for dad in 1999. In the part of the Aube more known for Pinot Meunier. This is creamy and opulent, it has notes of hazelnut and brioche. If only we could drink this everyday.
Hild Elbling Sekt Brut #52
Mattias Hild is carrying on the tradition of the grape that is religion in the Upper Mosel. The grape does well here but doesn't have a great reputation outside the area. It has ripe tropical fruit on the nose with zippy acidity and chalky minerality on the palate.
J.B. Becker Riesling Wallufer Trocken 1L
Incredible value from the unwavering HaJo. Doing things his way forever, the dry style long before it was in fashion, this is an in your face Riesling. Medium bodied with lime zest and smoke on the nose. On the palate it is herbal with some stone fruit and driving acidity.
