Matthiasson 'Tendu' 2019 California
Steve makes some delicious Cabernet - if you've been in the shop I've probably suggested it.  But it's not cheap.  THIS, however, is what he would like to drink on a more every day basis, and what I would want as well.  Italian grapes you don't see in California - Barbera with Aglianico, Montepulciano with some others thrown in. It is fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel, aged in neutral barrels, no sulfur added, no filtration.
Bodegas La Purísima 'Old Hands' Roble 2018 Yecla, Spain
All this wine does is make people happy.  It is funny because Monastrell (Mouvedre in France) is tough to do on its own, but this is so delicious.  All organic, sourced from a vineyard located on the Murcia Plateau, at an altitude of between 500-900 meters. The vines are 30-year-old. Cold maceration to enhance its aroma, which results in elegant aromas and taste of fresh red berries and herbs. Aging 4 months in barrel.
Milan Nestarec 'Bêl' 2018
A winter white to round out the three-pack from one of our favorite producers (and the first producer represented here in the shop).  Czech Republic white wine with a little bit of body but great acidity to keep it perfectly balanced - natural winemaking at it's best.  He makes some really interesting stuff, but this is for everyone.
